New supporting member: University College of Teacher Education Vienna
We are pleased to announce that University College of Teacher Education Vienna (PH Wien) has joined Open Knowledge Maps as a supporting member, becoming the first university college of teacher education in Austria to pledge their support to Open Knowledge Maps.
The PH Wien Campus Library specializes in the fields of education, teacher training, and adult education. It is the largest of its kind within the Network for Culture and Education (VBK) in Austria. The library serves as the central hub for academic literature and information for faculty, students, and staff of the University College of Teacher Education in Vienna.
Renate Pfann, Head of Library, outlines the reasons for joining Open Knowledge Maps:
"We strongly believe that open science is essential to ensure that research knowledge is adequately shared as the public good it ought to be. Moreover, visualizing search results the way Open Knowledge Maps does, allows researchers and the wider public to explore scientific outputs more intuitively and reveal connections between topics.
